Technical Writer (low-code education focus) (f/m/d) – Berlin (hybrid)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A skilled Technical Writer with a passion for empowering SME users to leverage the power of low-code technology to build custom database software.

Joining our product design and content team at Ninox, you’ll focus on developing user-centric documentation, tutorials, and other technical content. Your work will not only explain how our low-code platform functions but also educate users on vital programming and database management concepts.

You’ll work with our Senior UX Writer, as you focus on long-form content and they concentrate on in-app content.

YOUR MISSION

• Make complex technical concepts accessible and understandable to users of all skill levels by initiating a lean content practice. Optimize workflows and leverage AI-assisted tools for scalable, high-quality educational content creation.
• Demystify Ninox’s low-code platform and bridge the gap between technical complexity and user comprehension by crafting an extensive educational content strategy. Address varied skill levels of SME users, from Excel-savvy to intermediate coding/scripting.
• Guide users step-by-step through Ninox’s capabilities by developing in-depth tutorials, guides, and documentation. Empower SME users to create custom database software with our low-code platform.
• Ensure technical accuracy in content and simplify the understanding of complex features for the end-user by collaborating with the development and support teams and using insights from these teams.
• Identify areas where users may struggle with technical aspects of Ninox and allow for targeted improvements by utilizing user feedback and engagement data.
• Guarantee technical descriptions are uniformly understandable across all content types by maintaining consistency in tone, voice, and terminology.
• Facilitate user comprehension and low-code adoption by supporting educational initiatives. Create video tutorials to further break down complex technical information into more digestible and understandable formats.

NICE TO HAVE

• Background in low-code platforms, B2B SaaS or ERP solutions, or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and content management systems.
• Experience in education, instructional design, or e-learning.
• A degree in technical writing, education, instructional design, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 3 years in technical writing or educational content creation within the software or technology industry. 
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to distill complex technical topics and programming concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content for SMEs.
• Attention to detail: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Technical proficiency: Experience with documenting APIs, JSON, programming languages, and producing user guides.
• Educational insight: A strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
• Innovation: An interest in AI-assisted content creation tools and methodologies, with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings within a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.
